To learn to ride a moped

You must be at least 15 ½ years of age

You must be at least 16 years of age to undertake the Practical Riding Assessment and be granted a licence to drive R-N (Motorcycle) class vehicles.

A moped is a motorcycle that has a propelling engine with an engine capacity not exceeding 50cc and a top speed not exceeding 60km/h. This applies whether or not it is also capable of being propelled as a pedal cycle, but does not include a power assisted pedal cycle.
