To learn to ride a motorcycle (not exceeding 250cc)

You must be at least 16 years of age.

 

To be granted a licence to drive an R-E (Motorcycle) class vehicle

You must be at least 17 years of age.

 

An R-E class vehicle (Motorcycle) you can ride a motorcycle as described below:

A motorcycle with or without a side car attachment, with an engine capacity not exceeding 250cc

A motor carrier with an engine capacity not exceeding 250cc.

Other vehicles you are authorised drive

R-N (Motorcycle)  class – a moped
